Call me Rose Ganymede.

I'm 24 going on 13, fangirling it up and full of hope and whimsy.

Except my journal is probably very beyond PG-13 most of the time, so heed the warnings. If it's a fic and it says NC-17, there's probably gay incestuous sexin' it. Sam and Dean Winchester and Nathan and Peter Petrelli own me. Tim Kring and Eric Kripke need to have TV babies. I've also become obsessed with The Mighty Boosh as of late. They are cracktastic and full of teh canon gay and all manner of crazy. Only the Boosh offers Cockney watersports, transsexual mercreatures, crimping, male prostituion, and the gender fluidity that is Vince Noir. Noel Fielding + Julian Barratt = genius.

When I'm not reading fan fic (or ideally, when I am!), I'm working on my MA (and eventual PhD) in English, with a focus in Victorian Studies (and some New Media on the side). It's got pretty much everything I love going for it - gender queering and questioning, horror, sensationalism, sci-fi, fantasy, fairy tales, even pop culture and the beginnings of mass readership and quasi-fan fiction! Someday, I will write a Victorian J2 AU. You just wait. On that note, I'm pretty much an academic nerd, so sometimes I like to be pompous and get all intellectual about slash and fandom and TV and teh gay sex and such. And damn, I love that I live in a world where I can. But at the end of the day, I am still a complete and utter squeeing fan girl. And a book worm. Video game player. Sci-fi/fantasy geek. Etc. Embrace it. I do.

I originally went to college to be a high school English teacher. Then I flirted with folklore for a while, and I've published some writing here and there, which I hope to continue to do. I am fond of many hats. And actually have quite a literal collection - total girlie girl when it comes to cardigans, hats, shoes, purses, and jewelry. Give me a book store or a thrift store and I'm a happy camper. Who has maxed out multiple credit cards. Oh, well. You only live once, maybe.

Now and again there'll be the odd personal rant or rave in here, but lately, my journal's been mostly fandom and fan fiction, and all but exclusively Heroes and Supernatural. We are in a happy threesome together, thank you. So if you're not down with fandom, silly fangirl squee, slash, homosexuality, erotica, artistic explorations of taboo subjects like incest, and the occasional extremely kinky shit, well - find yourself a cup o' tea elsewhere. Me, I prefer Mountain Dew or caramel machiattos, anyway.
